Collective Care

Let's talk about wellbeing in a way that doesn't leave anyone behind—because let's face it, self-care has been hijacked by capitalism. Instead of serving as a path to genuine health and community, it's been turned into another money-making scheme, creating barriers to accessing care that are vital for our holistic health. It’s important to me that my business is about reclaiming self-care from this system and ensuring that it’s accessible to everyone.

This is how we start dismantling the system—right in our own lives and communities.

When I say "wellbeing that doesn't cost the earth," I mean it literally and figuratively. The earth shouldn't pay the price for our self-care routines, and neither should we. We're constantly being "sold" what we need—whether it's clothes, equipment, supplements, lotions and potions—often without any regard for ethical and fair trade practices.

True wellbeing should nurture us without draining our bank accounts or exploiting our planet’s resources. It's about creating a sustainable balance where health and care are accessible, and that means rethinking how we approach cost and value.

One way I'm doing this is through my free qiflow class on Monday mornings at Shelly Beach. It’s a space where anyone can come, move, breathe, and start their week with a sense of community and peace—no strings attached. In a world that glorifies speed and productivity, there is revolutionary power in the practice of slowing down.

This is why I’m also involved in starting the Slow Read book group, where we meet every fortnight to read and discuss one or two chapters of a non-fiction book that expands our world. It's a space to pause, reflect, and connect over meaningful ideas at a pace that allows for real understanding and engagement.

I recognise the reality of living in a world where cost-of-living increases are a constant challenge. Like many of you, I need to make a sustainable living; but I also don't want financial constraints to be a barrier for anyone seeking support. So, for my other offerings, I’ve set up a tiered system of supported access.

Here’s how it works: For any of my services priced at $30 or more, I have discount codes designed to help those who need it. The QILOVE code gives you a $20 discount, GIFT provides a $30 discount, and GRATITUDE knocks off $50.

These aren’t just arbitrary numbers; they’re part of a collective care model. If you can afford the full price, you’re helping to support those who can’t. If you need the discount, it’s there for you—no questions asked. This way, everyone contributes what they can, and everyone gets the care they need.

Please, only use these codes if you genuinely can't afford to pay the asking price. This isn’t about guilt or policing; it’s about trust and community. We’re all in this together, and by supporting each other, we can create a more equitable system. This is how we take care of each other and the earth—by making wellbeing accessible, sustainable, and genuinely caring.
